Shoegazin’ by the Stars

Just a quick update from me.

As you can see, we have moved to a new host. No more reinani.wordpress.com(it’s still there but I will lock it). Though I am so thankful for WordPress.com for providing free blogging space.

Not that I dislike Blogger.com, I’ve already came to a point of liking Wordpress. Have been using it for years; multiple failed blogs(heh!).

Now we have Exabytes.com.my as our paid host.

One of the new changes will be the tag. No more OMG not again! Which was inspired by my numerous failed blogging attempts in the past.

So without further ado, I present to you my new ‘renovated’ blog;

So here’s brief descriptions of everything.

• Reifu? It’s one of my alter-egos. First used in EveOnline game.
• Gazestation.com? Yet another team project. Still under major construction(We’re actually still arguing and bickering whether to buy a template or use free templates, hire a designer for logo,header,ads,etc or do it ourselves(FAIL!) and the concept; webzine? Music blog? Music forum? Etc).
• Shoegazin’ by the Stars? Firstly, I love Shoegaze music(nuff said!). Secondly, shoegaze music is so mesmerizing and hypnotizing - go out at nite, to the park, mountains/hills or any rooftop, shove your earplugs, play My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive etc on your ipod, lay on your back and gaze at the stars. Need to explain more?
• What will I blog about? Same old, same old.

I’m still playing around with some free themes. Might probably buy a cool one. Not really sure.

Blog aside, counting days to my last bachelor day… Yosha!

I suddenly have the urge to post something in this blog. Maybe I’m just too free in the office.

What went past 2008?

• Completed my Microsoft courses and officially certified. Instead of completing for MCSA/MCSE, I went for 2003 MCPs and 2008 MCTS.
• Quit my not-so-recent job in Sunway Bali and joined HP in Damansara Height as Wintel System Engineer. The main reason for the decisions above.
• Engaged with my long-time lover.
• Converted to Islam.

What in store for 2009?

• Getting married in May.
• Loads and loads of wedding preparation.
• Officially a Gymholic. Cutting and bulking, baby!

2009 so far is great. I’m happy with my new job and workplace. Doing good with single-to-married adjustments.

What else? Oohh… hmph hmph! *stretches muscles*

As usual, at least once a week, I’ll be having my lunch at Sunway Pyramid due to my regular ‘business’ around the area. So yesterday, I tried the mega-big burger at Carl’s Jr. Damn! I was so full, I skipped my dinner last nite. Heh.

I ordered their trademark burger; Superstar combo. And I changed the normal fries with beef-chilli-fries(forgot what they call it).

The special fries first taste; superbly delicious! Loving it. But I don’t think it’s wise to order it together with the burger’s combo. LOL. Unless you have a stomach of a cow(eh, cow only eat grass duh!) or you bring along some frens lah.

This is actually my fourth time dining at Carl’s Jr but the first time at Sunway Pyramid. Previously at Pavilion KL.

I only tried the Superstar burger. Should try others next time.

Overall, the Superstar burger is quite similar to Burger King’s Whooper. Just that it’s bigger than the latter.

For the price, if you’re a fan of these meaty burgers; it’s worth it! I’m surely will go there at least once in a month(am more discipline with ma budget now ). Heh.

First listen, the verses reminds me of Icky Thump by The White Stripes. Probably because of the hailer effects on the vocals. Also reminds me of The Killers.

But when it goes on after the verses, you can hear the familiar Coldplay sound. Maybe the guitar solo part is a bit new to me. Correct me if I’m wrong, Jonny rarely do those type of solos in previous albums. And he used a more distorted guitar effects this time. Another rare stuff for me.

Whatever it is, Violet Hill is a nice song. Maybe not as good as Yellow/Fix You etc but it’s still have the delicious(Sorry, it’s lunch time. Very hungry) Coldplay trademark sound.

I was doing my routine visit on Monday at Sunway College, so I went to the Sunway Pyramid for lunch.

I didn’t really remember about Wendy’s since I was salivating myself on imagining the McD burgers.

So when I saw the Wendy’s signage, I went straight in and queued up while looking at the menus.

I decided to take the medium size meal that costs me around RM15.20. They call it ½ Pound Double with Cheese combo.

Looks normal right? I like the fries. It’s bulkier than the normal McD’s or KFC’s fries. And it tastes good too.

Nyummy looking burger. Not as mouthful as Carl’s Junior’s burger though.

Personally, I don’t really like the burger. The meat patty wasn’t tastes as meaty as Burger King’s or Carl’s Junior’s. Too much grease for my liking. My stomach felt weird after eating the whole burger. Not a good sign for me.

I might give Wendy’s another try with different combo though. The shrimp burger etc looks good.

Then after that, I will give Wendy’s my final verdict. Diss or not to diss! Heh.

I’m very much in fed-up state with my current job. It’s the same thing everyday.

Never mind that, but doing odd-jobs like carrying big-ass g****** to one place? Crazy man!

I’m pretty much clueless of this company’s working path/ladder or whatever it is.

To be frank, I don’t mind doing some odd-jobs for them as long as I’m guaranteed of something. At least show bits of my future ladder.

And the salary, it’s about time to get a better pay. I’m pretty sure at this time, I have a better price for the job I’m doing in S***** and the semi-private construction company. Everybody from my clients to the staffs, they grade me pretty high. A job well done for the past one year.

The office politics, my God!, a disgrace! Unprofessional. And I’m very very very fed-up with these ass-kissing, cock-sucking low-grade boss wannabes.
When I joined the company, I have already had a plan in mind. To have a career path in Broadband industry. I even took up CCNA course with my own money. But where am I now?

As of now, I’m looking at my job options. Also weighing my career.

Sigh.
